GM adapter board

I would be interested in an adapter to fit my '92 Suburban with a 383 (350 TBI based) and a 700R4. I'm looking for better programmabilty than the stock system and upgrade options.

This would be my first MS conversion.

Will MS connect directly to all the GM TBI sensors I already have, if I mangled the existing harness to match? Other than torque converter lockup are there any functions of the stock computer than MS won't support already?

Is the adapter board just to prevent the re-wiring effort?
