Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
Can i connect the MS3 card direct to the LM1949 chip? What kind of signal gives the MS3 card? inverted or not?

Yes you can. The signal out of the MS3 is non-inverted. Use the J1 header.janse wrote:Can i connect the MS3 card direct to the LM1949 chip? What kind of signal gives the MS3 card? inverted or not?
Jean
EDIT: that assumes you have the p&h driver inside the MS3 case. If not you will need some sort of buffer to protect the CPU.

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
since you no longer have the V 2.0 peak and hold board
wat kind schematic would you need to turn the V 1.1 into intercept board for injector load signal ( universal)

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
First let me say that I'm looking at having a replacement for the V2.0 in the not too distant future. I'm looking at 4 and 8-driver boards.
To use an injector output as the input of a V1.1 board, you need to add an inverter circuit between the two. This is an example of what can be used (you need one of these per channel): You will also need a 5V supply for the V1.1 board.

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
maybe it,s an idea to combine these components in a V 1.1C board
and decide how you want to use it on how you hook it up ?

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
Which peak and hold board out now is best to use with the ms3x?

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
At this time there isn't a board available that's ideal to use with an MS3X but I should have something relatively soon. How many injectors were you looking to drive?

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
Just 4 injectors. How soon are you talking? Im having trouble with big high z injectors and i think i should run low z since they react faster.

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
Hi,
If I use this board I can connect it directly to the cpu outputs on MS2 with an v3 board for 4 cyl full sequential setup with low z injectors?

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
You can connect it to the INJx point mentioned here: http://www.jbperf.com/sequential/index.html#v3conn. But you also have to do the modifications to the MS2 card and the V3 board mentioned on the same page: http://www.jbperf.com/sequential/index.html#ms2mods.Wergilius wrote:Hi,

Kevin,
It depends on what you call soon but they should be available again some time in July. Hopefully.

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
How many do you need? I have a couple of bare PCBs here in the UK. I'd be able to ship them next week.

Sequential Injection
hi
i am going to modify the "MS2+PCB V3.0" to work with 4 cylinders in Sequential mode.
i have already read the tutorials here: http://www.jbperf.com/sequential/index.html#ms2mods
but i have 4 more questions:
1- is "Peak&Hold Injector Driver Board V1.1A" able to drive both high and low impedance injectors?
2- is there any schematic for "Peak&Hold Injector Driver Board " avalible?
3- will this work OK? 4- may i remove these part from the board?
D3, D5, D6, D7, D17, D18, D20, D21, C13, C14, Q1, Q3, Q5, Q9, Q10, Q11, Q12, Q13, Q14, Q15, R15, R18, R20, R30, R31, R32, R33, R34, R35, R36, R37, R38

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
1. Yes.
2. You get a copy of the schematic when you purchase a board.
3. Yes for the injector connections once you have modified the MS2 card to get the 4 injector channels but you obviously also need to connect 5V and ground.
4. Yes.

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
P&H v1.1 install for a 4cyl using ms3(x) outputs, fit in case.
Injector signals taken from bottom of jp1 on 3x side. Heatsink is tight to case sides for max heat dissipation.
Its tight, but it works. Decent solution for those that only need 4 channels.
Thanks again to Jean for the help!

Re: Peak and hold injector driver board
I notice that you are using nylon screws to hold the transistors have you encounter any problem with the screw getting lose.thanks
