Microsquirt module test board

Post by jsmcortina »

I put this together in order to test a Microsquirt module. Just wondering if anyone is interested in a PCB if I have a small batch made?

This is the same idea as the "Utility board" shown in the manual except that it connects to the correct side of the module, includes a serial connector and has the MSEXTRA header connected.

I'd have one, it'd be useful for doing swap out, back to back tests etc, so +1 more please.

I would like to have one, how hard would it be to make the board a little larger, and add a proto area?

I'm looking for a relay board. Though I'm not sure what I am looking for in those pics. Details?
I can see four relays on the underside, is it four total? Does it fit in to the Microsquirt enclosure? Does it need a harness or extra wiring? What type of fusing? If I put my name down for one, what's the approximate costs?
Thanks

This is nothing to do with a relay board. It is a screw terminal board used for testing Microsquirt Modules.

Got the PCBs in.
Photo of assembled and bare.

I only bought a small batch, so the pricing reflects that. I tested all the main functions on the stim and all works as expected. I haven't checked the "MSEXTRA connector."

Bare PCB = £15 or USD$25
Postage to USA $14 using "Airsure" service.

Looks great James, really useful addition for my stuff, as I can progress/test the ECU replacement & the 4 cylinder sequential kit.
Can I PayPal the money to you?
Where in the UK did you source the 50pin connector from?

PS Looks like you put a 10 way connector on as well, which is one thing that Bruce wasn't covering with his Access Board. 8)

I sourced parts from Farnell. That 50pin connector seemed WAY too expensive (around a fiver.)

Here's the parts list and part numbers I used:
4 off 10 way 0.2" Phoenix terminal blocks - 3041293
1 off 2 way 0.2" Phoenix terminal block - (had one in stock) 3041165 similar
1 off 50 way dual 0.1" pin header - 1668403
1 off 10 way dual 0.1" pin header - 1668348
1 off 2 way 0.1" pin header - part of 1097954
1 off DB9 female (F1 style) - 1084701

Depends on service - either regular airmail or "international signed for". PM me your preference and I'll get a quote.
