New Cam Sync Modules!

We want to share our new cam sync modules with everyone at msextra.com. We've been selling these modules for Hall effect and optical sensors for quite a while, but we just recently introduced a version for VR sensors. Both modules are incredibly compact and fit directly in the proto area of v3.0 MegaSquirt boards. They're powered by the 5V and ground through-holes next to the proto area, so once they're soldered in, they only require two to three jumper wires to finish the installation: one (for the Hall/opto modules) or two (for the VR modules) inputs, and an output.

The Hall/opto modules can be used with either 5V or 12V output sensors. In addition to being mounted internally, they can also be mounted externally. The modules are so small, they can be sealed with a dab of electronics-safe silicone and heat-shrink tubing, and wrapped up in a wiring harness.

The VR modules can be used with virtually any type of pulse generating sensor, including high output VR sensors using the included shunt resistor. The VR modules can also be mounted externally with the addition of an optional on-board voltage regulator.
