That would be a larger project, but seriously cool.

Look at the thread below this one. an OLED mini display is the ultimate display for MS IMO.

As nice as James's display is, I was disapointed that it was just a number readout. (and one that is notoriously hard to read in direct sunlight too), an OLED might not be the best in direct sunlight either, but the versatility is miles better.

I guess the oled one could be used as replacement of dumb water gauge in many clusters, for some major stealthiness

I mean something like this:

That's a nice setup! Although almost 20 seconds for it to "boot up" seems a bit much.

well it's not mine, that's a plx dm100. It reads data from obd and from extra sensors (it has bulky modules).
I think it needs all that time to boot because it does graphical animations etc.

I would be more than happy without "virtual needle/gauge/graphical wallpapers", only digits, but it should have two views
one with a few channels (and you could cycle/reorder them) and one for a single big channel.

And maybe the background should blink/invert colors if warning. (oled)

Kinda like a "newer megaview".
Ok, I know I'm asking too much!

Any chance i can purchase one or more of these? I do not see the gauge cup as an issue if that is the only hold up i will buy it without. (unless of course there is something very different about it that i do not know about-i will make my own enclosure)

Is this dead for realz now? Are there any photos still out there of this device? Is it something that could be flush mounted behind a panel rather than in a gauge pod?

Man I have customers that would really love to have this gauge. They see mine and they are like jumping up and down wanting it. I have an MR2 right now that I originally built with my son with an innovate WB on it and its sill going through lambda sensors every 6 months. My car was doing the same thing and I pt a 14point7 Spartan in it 2 years ago and ive been fine ever since. I want to put one on this MR2 but the gauges out there are not great . This CAN gauge is great. I hav 2 of them in my 240 and that is all I need. Make more!!!

Well, if you have anything laying around taking up bench space looking for an owner I might be willing to take it off your hands. I would still like to see a photo or two if they exist.
Thanks!

Resurrecting this thread.

The instructional PDF and ini files have disappeared from this thread.

Does anyone have a copy of them so I can get my gauge working?

I would think JSMcortina would have that somewhere since he developed the gauge.Have you tried to pm James?

The missing photo is this:

I attached an ini file that may be the correct one? You may need to change the Project Properties to force a certain serial version? Not sure.

My Cortina is presently in pieces so I can't connect up to the gauge to be certain.

Thanks, James.

Do you have the PDF on how to set it up?

I don't even know where to start.
