Hello,
I search for a way to control a stepper engine with my ms2 with can
The stepper is for my AWD gear it is Electrically locked.
I hope anyone have an idea for my question.
Sorry for the Bad english I'm from Germany.

Re: question about stepper engines
I don't believe the current firmware supports generic stepper motor controls, but if you could write up a detailed description of how the system operates, that would be helpful.

Re: question about stepper engines
ok i try to explain it
at first this is my project an Vw Golf mk1 with 2.0 16v Turbo engine
it has at this moment over 540hp and an awd gear from an audi tt it called 4-motion.
This gear has an bipolar stepper engine that controls a little valve and this valve locks gradually the rear axle.
And i search for a way to control with the MS the blocking grade over the engine pressure and the throttle valve.
My first idea was an little board with an stepper control on board and get the data from the ms over can-bus, but i am not good enough to build such things like that

Re: question about stepper engines
There are PWM to stepper converters out there, and Jean Belanger's TinyIOx has CAN communication as well as PWM output. That's where I'd start.
Temporarily shut down - back soon!

www.dutchbuild.com it looks like they make a haldex controller, you may have to contact them for more info. It may be able to interface with megasquirt.
