Knock Module connection
Hi everyone, I was interested in the knock module as a standalone product. Can someone tell me what the pinout is for this board and what the boards output is. 0-5v or a digital signal.
Thanks in advance

Re: Knock Module connection
The MS3 knock module? It uses SPI and is only designed to be used with the MS3.

Re: Knock Module connection
The firmware to support the knock module was written to support the sales of the knock module - the two go hand in hand.acab wrote:Why? All schematics from datasheet of HIP9011/TPIC8101
If you want to use the knock module firmware, BUY the knock module from DIYautotune or a sub-seller.

Steve, you know full well that Megasquirt is a commercial product and has been from day one, so what's the big idea?stevevp wrote:Well done gents, I doubt there will be a second postbravo685 wrote:Hi everyone, I was interested in the knock module as a standalone product.

Re: Knock Module connection
Or was Bravo looking to try incorporating the knock module into some other device and just wanted to wire it up? I believe that is allowed; correct me if I'm wrong.jsmcortina wrote:The firmware to support the knock module was written to support the sales of the knock module - the two go hand in hand.acab wrote:Why? Using the firmware on the board Acab posted, though, would be a definite violation.

Re: Knock Module connection
There seems to be two significantly different questions in this thread. First:
Then:
I read this as asking for enough info such that the Knock Module (as sold by DIYAutoTune) could be re-purposed as a non-MS device.bravo685 wrote:Hi everyone, I was interested in the knock module as a standalone product. Then:
To me this reads. 'Can I put a different but electrically the similar knock module on an MS3?'.Its possible to connect own knock module? Its same by schematics....
