Can bus add on board
Hello,
here you can see then can bus add on board which i have made.
It has a few i/o and reprot them via can bus to the MS2 or MS3.
The board is in a nice housing and very robust housing.
It has:
4x 0-5V Sensor Input's (or NTC with internal bias)
8x Thermocouple Inputs's k-type
4x NPN mosfet output with separeted gnd (3A)
2x Input (Digital or Frequency )
Also it is possible to attache an LCD display.
You can choose from a list of about 20 diffrent variables which can be displayed on it.
The configuartion off the board is made with TunerStudio.
So now here are the pictures:

Re: Ca bus add on board
Interesting. I assume the pin headers etc are for function selection? Do you have options for bias resistors for temperature sensors?
I'm a little surprised you picked such a waterproof case, then poked holes in it for wires. Even with grommets, the sealing won't be the same. Would it not have been better to use the 48-pin header, and bring the TC wires in that way?

Temporarily shut down - back soon!

Hello,
no funktion selection is made with tuner studio.
2 ways to do it, can passthrough or direkt via rs232.
2 Pinheaders for programming and the other one is for the lcd display.
Yes there are also bias resistors to use temperature sensors at the 0-5v inputs.
I choose the housing because its robust.
It's not designed to be fully water proof.

Re: Can bus add on board
What is your target price? This actually looks more finished/ready to go for the casual user than most of these projects are.
86 Rx-7, swapped to 2.3 ford turbo (BW EFR 6758), ms3/ms3x sequential fuel /waste spark, ls2 coils
88 Tbird 2.3t, Microsquirt Module (PIMP), TFI ignition

Re: Can bus add on board
Hello,
yes it's more or less finished.
There are a hand full in use already.
But i add some new features to the io and display board from time to time.
Target for io board is 170$ and for the display it is 100$.
