JBPerf IO extender pictures
I want to increase my ADCs and would like to see some pics of peoples completed projects. I have an idea what it would look like, but visual would help. I would like to see 3 axis accelerometer mounted and conditioner circuits completed to maximize ADCs. I am also interested in seeing what people are doing for plugs and harnesses. Any advice for this project would be greatly appreciated.

Re: JBPerf IO extender pictures
I use a TinyIOX for 9 extra ADC's and additional PWM's. I use a DB37 for all the connections. I only use about half the pins, could have used a smaller DB25.
Here is a pic of the conditioning circuits board. Here is the complete assembly.

Thanks for the reply. It is very helpful. Are the resistors and caps connected on the backside of the proto board? Are the resistors connected to the headers on the backside?

What is the board in the lower left corner of the second picture?
I am also interested in seeing some completed I/O extender projects. That is the direction I am thinking I want to go. If I go tiny iox I will use 2 of those.

The board is like a solderless breadboard. The rows are electrically connected on the back side. Makes it fast and easy to build one off projects like this. The board in the left corner is a DC motor controller.brianj5600 wrote:Thanks for the reply. It is very helpful. Are the resistors and caps connected on the backside of the proto board? Re: JBPerf IO extender pictures
Thanks again! Your posts are going to help me tremendously. The way I was going to do it would have been much more difficult.

Some good discussion in this thread:

Here's the conditioning circuit I used.
I squeezed six of them into the proto area on the board.
I fit it inside of a generic project box and connected it with a DB25 I had lying around.

Thanks for the link laminar. What are the red and black wires for that go to the IC at the top of the picture?

Those are the CAN-bus high and low connections going to the MS3.

I am a goof. I was looking at it on my phone and I should have looked a little more closely. Nice job on the BMW 5.0 swap!Laminar wrote:Those are the CAN-bus high and low connections going to the MS3.
