citroen/peugeot marelli P8 replacement

Post by turtana »

here is my shematic for microsquirt V3 will post the msq later on to get it running
the oem uses a 4 wire stepper idle, that is disabled i did route +12v and fidle to it´s pins 1-2
in the cars multirelay there is 1 wire you needs to be cut and joinet to a nother ( pin 2 to pin 14 on multirelay)
there is no direct +12v line from the ignition key to ecu on marelli systems.
this ecu is used also on 106 peugeot rallye (1.6)

testing the ecu on citroen xantia 2.0 8v, 390 ohm resistor in paralel with the vr sensor.

I am sure it is also possible to leave the connections on the multirelay as they are if one connection is grounded inside the ECU. I need to look in the schematics but it worked on two cars with MM-ECU so far. (1.1 litre G6.11, 1.6 litre 1AP.41)

with the 8P ecu wireing the output´s are inverted on the multi relay

the 8p uses the multirelay pins 8*15 and 13*5*6*4 to feed the pover to injectors, coil etc.. no direct output for the ecu.

the ecu pover is fed trough 11 and 1*9 and the relay coil is fed direct from the batery.

the bosch wireing diagram that has the inverted multirelay output motronic 3.2 for example can be wired without the mod same as 1Ap

simply it can´t be done witout the mod or you would have to leve one relay constantly on that would drain the batery

Ok - i see my car is already wired this way from the factory. I will never understand why the guys at PSA use to solve the same problem in different ways on similar cars...

Dear turtana,

is there a chance you still have the photos of the modified multi-relay and VR sensor? They are not showing at all...
If you have more photos would be really helpful for us trying to replace the Marelli 8p...
Thanks in advance!!
