Re: Mating connector for Ford V6 3-wire cam sensor?
I have purchased other EFI plugs and connectors from Ballenger Motor Sports.
Look up plug by number of pins and Male or Female.
The prices are reasonable.

Check with a Ford Dealer, they might have a repair kit.
Take a trip to a local Pick A Part with some wire cutters.
I like your idea for the cam position sensor I am having Scott, fabricate one for a Pontiac.
Do you have the wire diagram for the sensor.
I received an E-mail from Scott, stating he was injured in a motor cycle accident.
I hope he is OK.

Pin outs:

I've traded e-mails with Ballenger, but we haven't identified the correct mating connector yet. If we could get a snapshot of that connector, it would help a lot.
Scott's leg was VERY badly broken, but he's making a remarkable recovery and he's getting around his machine shop now on crutches.

BritishV8,
Thanks for the pin out.
I received an Email from Scott.
His recovery is coming along nicely now, he will be shipping my cam sensor Today.
ashford,
thanks for the link to the Motor Craft WPT 196.
Following the link to Ballenger.
One the opening page, there is a listing for the Honda cam and crank sensors.
I thing they look a lot like the Motor Craft plug.
Complete part number, Repair kit 3 pin, 3U2Z-14S411-NA Motorcraft WPT-196
Found a bunch of E-bay listings.

Re: Mating connector for Ford V6 3-wire cam sensor?
Ballenger provides great service and I would have bought the 3-pin connector from them if they had it, but they advised: "The housing in non-standard so we don't stock it. The seals are CONN-100173 and the terminals are CONN-100171. We have the front locks too but not the variant housing." I'm ready to move on, so I put a quick order in to RockAuto. I hope to install sensor and wiring on Wednesday.
