In most of the world, GM Ecotec GDi motors get 3 piston wobble plate unit style HPFPs, driven off the end of a cam, rather than the single piston/runs off a lobe on the cam in the head Delphi unit used on North American models.
Information seems hard to come by on the "rest of the world" systems if you live in the USA.
It is apparent the Continental version of the pump is much preferred for reliability over the Siemens, but what I REALLY need to know is exactly how fuel pressure is regulated.
I know they have a separate solenoid for pressure regulation, looking for info on how it is controlled and works in detail.
Also if anyone has a line on a good pump or two for a sane price, this is for a MS3 controlled GDI motor project, the injector drive is already dealt with via a Mazda GDi injector driver box.
Non-delphi (non-north america) Ecotec GDi system info?
