Looking for a logic-level coil for a 6-cylinder
Hi,
Does such an animal exist? Wasted-spark or six separate coils will do.
The LS coils are a little too large physically, and the added advantage of having all the wiring come to a single connector makes a coil pack attractive.
Thanks!

How about three coils from a '94-'97 Miata?

Thanks, Matt. I take it then that a coilpack doesn't exist?Matt Cramer wrote:How about three coils from a '94-'97 Miata?
The Miata coils may be a good option. How about a three-channel ignitor that I can mate up with an EDIS-6 coilpack. Do such ignitors exist?

How much of a problem is it, to have the high-current drivers inside the MS enclosure? Is noise truly an issue and therefore, best avoided?
I just noticed the VW VR6 coilpack but don't know if that is a "dumb" coil like EDIS-6 or not. Then again, perhaps I should avoid VW, given the number of failures they've had.
Re: Looking for a logic-level coil for a 6-cylinder
The VR6 coil is logic level but they do have a fairly high failure rate
