Bosch 3-Wire IAC on MS2 - GG Circuit?
Back when I purchased my MS2 kit from DIY, I made a list of of various links to relevant options as I planned out the install. I even had a handful of pages left loaded on the ipad so I wouldn't lose them if I somehow lost my project plan. Then all the links got moved
My plan had been / is to run the Bosch 3-wire idle air control valve that came on the BMW originally. My understanding is that such a thing required a board from Glen's Garage which seems to be a zombie site at this point. Further searching came up with "yeah GG isn't around but you can find the schematic as the MSExtra forum". I've been searching for more hours than I'd care to tally today. Is there someone that can point me in the right direction here?
Cheers.

The MS2 manuals have all gone .pdf; unfortunately, a fair bit of stuff has been missed - including this, apparently. I've poked at James about it; we'll see what he thinks.
In the mean time, the MS1 manual is still up in it's older form, including the FIdle mod; scroll down a bit to get to the 3-wire part.
Some folks have commented that they had better controllability with a true 3-wire PWM board, vs just a resistor to ground.

That's not particularly constructive.dontz125 wrote:The MS2 manuals have all gone .pdf; unfortunately, a fair bit of stuff has been missed

Re: Bosch 3-Wire IAC on MS2 - GG Circuit?
not sure if this is still the case but the web manuals used to have a lot of the diy options for adding extra's eg the second vr input and a exhaust gas temp amp and other diy circuits but last time i checked they were not in the current pdf manuals.jsmcortina wrote:That's not particularly constructive.dontz125 wrote:The MS2 manuals have all gone .pdf; unfortunately, a fair bit of stuff has been missed

Generally please post in the MS2 documentation topic.grom_e30 wrote:not sure if this is still the case but the web manuals used to have a lot of the diy options for adding extra's eg the second vr input and a exhaust gas temp amp and other diy circuits but last time i checked they were not in the current pdf manuals.

Re: Bosch 3-Wire IAC on MS2 - GG Circuit?
Woohoo! Thanks all - ordered the fiddly bits as per the link with the TIP120s. Funny - I searched and searched for "3 wire" and endless variants thereof both through the site and though google domain search, and didn't come up with that one. I think I even tried searching "Glens Garage". Clearly my search fu is weak.
James - I don't envy you and the work you've done. Thanks for all you're doing to support this massive load of information and it's endless variants - I don't envy you.

I didn't see a need to hold forth on more than the parts relevant to this thread; I had already pointed out those aspects in a recent PM.jsmcortina wrote:That's not particularly constructive.dontz125 wrote:The MS2 manuals have all gone .pdf; unfortunately, a fair bit of stuff has been missed

Also, it's a bit difficult to go through the old web manuals section by section, comparing them with the current upgraded version and checking for missing technical tidbits, when the old manuals have been removed ...
