small air temp ? options europe

Post by baz-r »

im probably in the wrong section again?

i have been running an old ford air temp sensor for an escort but its a bit big and bulky to mount close to my itb's as i would like and what i realy need is a nice little open element temp sensor that can be easly mounted. ideally somthing with a 10mm thread and with a common style plug i can get hold of easily here in europe that will work without having to change the bias resistor (ms2 v3.0pcb)

if anyone has a make and model or part no. i can track one down with that woud be great

thanks

0280130039 bosch sensor m12 thread works fine with the standard 2.49k bias resistor ev1 style connector the non bosch after market versions tend to be open element the bosch ones are a closed element but plastic not metal.

Can you get items made by Standard Motor Products? Their TX73 is a GM temp sensor with 1/8" pipe threads and a small body. That is a "closed" type, but I have been able to cut away the brass tip to expose the thermistor element for better MAT use.

Buy a thermistor and make your own... I did it while I was waiting on a GM sensor, though I had a thermistor on hand.
