3 bar /43 psi FPR

Post by LAV1000 »

At the moment I am using a 2.5 bar/ 36 psi fuel pressire regulator Bosch280160221.
Would upgrade to 3bar/43 psi so need an other FPR.
But would like a FPR with the hose connections the same way.
Someone any idea on a bosch number ?
Have seen the 280160249 but than i have to fabricate an adapter.

You can easily convert these Bosch FPR's to adjustable ones. I am sure if you Google it you will find instructions on how to do this.
Edit. here are the instructions http://www.dune-buggy.com/turbo/fuelsystem.htm

Are you sure that's a 2.5bar reg? That's the same one I use and I thought I was getting 3bar from it?

Can't test now, car in pieces.

James,

I am sure its a 35psi/2.5bar it is even engraved.
There is a crude way to modify this, compress top end in such a way that regulatorspring gets more preloaded.
maybe yours is modified ?

Andy,
Vac port is normaly connected to the inlet manifolt, otherwise you didn't need this type of FPR.

Dave,
I don't think that is gonna work, see my earlier post.
Some one else also advised this link earlier.

Why do you need to find a 68 car, you can get a new one from an auto parts store.
The article gives all the part numbers for the regulator.
