Suzuki Swift cam sensor pinout

Post by Jonno2002 »

Hi all,

I have a scrapyard-found cam sensor from a 2007 Suzuki Swift, but I am struggling to find out which of the three pins are which. I believe they will be +ve, ground and signal, and I hope that 5 volts supplied from my MS2V3 will be sufficient.

I've searched for a wiring diagram for that car with no luck, and detailed information on the part number is sketchy.

Does anybody have this information, or could advise me how to test it to find out?

It is a Denso 33220-76G11, and the cable colours from the connector on the loom are: Red/Orange, Black/Orange, Black/Red, if this helps.

I've attached a picture.

Hope you can help!
Thanks.
Jon.

All good - I finally found a full pdf manual for the RS415 Swift - here's the link: http://www.swiftowners.co.uk/uploads/RS ... Manual.pdf

P258 and 259 have all the details of connections and testing to check it works.

Works perfectly with the MS2V3. I have it through the Opto input, and just needed a pull-up resistor to make it work.

Cheers,
Jon.
