DENSO idle air valve
I've a DENSO idle air valve part number 22650AA181 fitted to a Subaru EJ207 engine.
simple question, is this a straight on/off valve or does it require PWM control?

Re: DENSO idle air valve
its not a simple question its got 3 dam wires
Re: DENSO idle air valve
yes it require pwm control circuit to operate

Re: DENSO idle air valve
The manual says supply power and 2 pwm controls. When i look at what i think is the correct wiring diagram for the engine bay it is identified as a 'idle air control solenoid valve', it has 3 connections power gnd and signal.
any thoughts on this?

Re: DENSO idle air valve
There is a Bosch three wire unit that you apply power to one, ground another through a resistor (to pull it closed), and use pwm to open it on the third.

Re: DENSO idle air valve
Which MS hardware are you using? Actually I'm going to assume ms3x since I just looked at which forum this is under. Either way if you follow the manual/diagram there is an output for it. I'm using the same hardware but on EZ30.
