MS2/E + 4 bar map sensor - anything i need to know?
Anticipating my ridiculous increase i boost, I have a 4 bar map sensor with the dual ports for baro correction, is there any incompatibility with MS2/E that would require I wait? Should I continue to run MS1/E?
I have an MS2 CPU but what I really need is:
Over boost protection
Boost control
4 bar map support
I am not sure, as I havent been on the "in" for a bit, what all is working/isn't working.
Anyone lend me the info?

however, there is 16x16 fuel, and you could use/waste one row to implement that for now, and change your map around again later.

Hmm so make like 190 kpa "0" fuel across the board? Yeah I could do that as long as 0 is 0.
Thanks Ken yeah thats what is keeping me from switching over 100%
Oh also - using the Map Daddy 4 bar, I can use the real time barometric correction without any issue, correct?
Sorry to ask - I can't find much on MS2 w/ the 4 bar map daddy sensor

190kpa? rediculous boost? lol is this for the stocker you have, or the built one? i hope the stocker ;-)
you want the last row being 191 to be zero, and the next one to be 190 at full, that way its a steep roll off. if you space it out, then its a gradual roll off, and it will just go lean... not good.
i believe 0 is really 0 these days. someone else would have to confirm that though.

I would think you would need the "overboost cut" to be more like 195kpa, unless your boost control is really precise, it'll be easy to hit 191kpa on overshoot everytime. set your second to last bin to 194, then the last one to 195. I think it sounds like it would work, but I wouldn't do it.
AFAIK 0 VE is zero fuel.

No, i am on a 10:1 motor now, ridiculous boost is coming on my 8.3:1 motor - 30 psi or sorb26dett wrote:190kpa? rediculous boost? lol is this for the stocker you have, or the built one? i hope the stocker ;-)

where he wants the cut is up to him, and depends on his boost target, but the last two rows should definitely be perfectly close together for a hard cut.
good good. glad to hear thats on the stocker i'm going to try pumping 25psi into my stock 10:1 with lots of toluene in the tank should be interesting. i may even try more. the turbo can push lots as you know. some stupid diesel guys have jammed the wastegate and run 45psi from them for ages without failure. though, i wouldnt try that, and it would be pumping red hot air at that.

Ugh so the 4 bar went in on MSnS1E and it was just real rich. Swapped back to a 2.5 bar and now the car is breaking up/misfiring randomly (idle/load). Plugs are clean.rb26dett wrote:where he wants the cut is up to him, and depends on his boost target, but the last two rows should definitely be perfectly close together for a hard cut.

Scott, he never specced how much boost he wanted to run, only that his cut should be at 190kpa. because he never said that he wanted to run 190kpa, i assumed that you were saying shift only the last row up to 195kpa (it could have been read like that as without a boost target how could you suggest a higher figure?), and was just clarifying that it should be both of the last two rows that get put where ever. no offence intended. its all about the engines at the end of the day
Jon, bugger about the map sensor. did you calibrate the ms1 for the new sensor? dont they require a new lookup table to work right? must be a bad wire since you swapped it back, that or some static discharge or something.
