EAE Oscillation at idle.

Post by Keithg »

I just noticed this today on the drive in. Look toward the end of the log. The engine is idling and EAE goes negative. After I stopped the log, it actually stalled the car. In the log, you can see how it accels. My assumption is that my 'sucked from walls' values are all too high and it causes the equations to unbalance. From how I understand it (which may be wrong), I am not able to get a symmetric response from an accel and a decel. What I mean by this, is that I can adjust the curves to give a much reduced lean tip in, but on dropped throttle, I cannot lean it out enough to stop a massive rich slug. I have spent time tuning the SS VE map and am pretty sure in the range from 0-100 kpa and 800-300 rpm that the map is pretty darn close. Is this due to the fact that I am running 1 squirt simultaneous? I cannot run 2 squirts simultaneous and have not had the available time to split the harness to run 2 injection channels.

Any help appreciated,

Oh yeah, MS2/E Beta 15.

Most likely this is a tuning issue. I do not know if it's from running 1 squirt, but that'd be my guess, since we already know EAE works better with more squirts.
