I tried to trigger at the cranck gear that has 145 teeth. A second trigger will provide a single cam signal. But the code seems to reject this layout. It does make sense but it would make conversion more simple to accept random number teeth cranck-gears and a single cam trigger.
Could it be done ? I know this is the hard way but I do a lot of cars that are not designed to run on EFI. This would simplefy installation a lot. Simply drill a hole in the bellhousing, mount a VR sensor and install a hall sensor in the dizzy or at the cam.

Idle advance has not been implemented.Jon k wrote:Hey James I might be out of the loop but is there idle advance yet? I loved that feature in MS1
It probably won't make it into 2.0, but I'll put it in one of the 2.0.x releases.

We can't really do this... The number of teeth has to at least be close to dividing into 360 evenly (at least to a tenth of a degree). Even if we could handle the math, I'm not sure we could handle the interrupt load of that many teeth per rev.JeroenBosma wrote:I tried to trigger at the cranck gear that has 145 teeth. I was afraid of that. What would you suggest if it was a straight six? only the camspeed can be used. I like to try to get it running as a twin 3 cilinder.
But appart from that, using the offset trigger together with a Honeywell 1GT01 sensor I have some weird RPM dropouts. Also I got some PW1 (PW2 is stable ?) dropouts. These are weird. Could it be (odd-fire)code related ? The Hall circuit is used and the signal cable is fully sheilded. I use raising edge on this one.

When the rpms drop to zero do you see the sync "light" in Megatune flicker?

I've not got to that one yet, although I have had some thoughts on it.sportage4x4 wrote:6 coil channels, now odd-fire with an even wheel and i'd be in heaven

That would be superb. That would need a twin trigger though. A bit painfull that we'll have to take the engine out to mod the flywheel. A week work with all the hydraulics in the car.. Or could it be done with a 36-1 camwheel ?
I'll check on the sync once I work on the car again. Are the PW and the RPM related for this one you think ?

The "drop to zero" events are very likely a loss of sync. This could be noise or a code issue. Please persist with testing as I'd like it to work for you and others.

Oh yeah, while we are here, can anyone determine if there is a problem with the MT gage with respect to LC-1 0-5V. There was a post in a different thread that this reads incorrectly. Anyone else verify this? Is it a MT problem? can we fix it through the ini, or is MT flawed? The work-a-round is to manually out in the data points for a generic sensor, according to one source.
Please let us know.
