MS2/Extra 2.0 RC1 (20080301)
We're finally up to our first RC:
Changes since last release:
1) Fixed an ini bug that was making causing narrowband users to have trouble. (I forget who found the problem, I think a few people did)
2) Merged karlo's CLT dependent revlimiter. Added an option to it to disable the CLT dependence above a certain TPS position.
3) Some tweaks to the Daihatsu 3 cyl code. Probably still not perfect, but should be significantly better.
RC1 can be found here:

EDIT: The link has been changed to the RC1b file. Please use that instead.

Congratulations to you and James for the RC, it's come a long way! :-)
Cool feature, Abe will be happy.muythaibxr wrote:2) Merged karlo's CLT dependent revlimiter. Added an option to it to disable the CLT dependence above a certain TPS position.

hi is the problem using iac motors fixed (you mentioned on the last beta)
i tried the iac closed loop and coldnt get it to work it idled at 5000rpm lol
idle open duty/closed only allows percentage
if i try to use steps the settings doest burn
probably this is a config error , but on the first beta that supported the iac closed loop it work +- ok

I believe that's fixed, but I'll have to verify it.spyro wrote:hi is the problem using iac motors fixed (you mentioned on the last beta)

EDIT: It looks like I added code to fix it.

Thanks to karlo for that one, I mostly just merged his code, and only added the TPS based override.redjetta wrote:I'm loving the coolant-based rev limiter, whenever I let a friend drive the car I have to explain what forged pistons are and why you have to wait for the red light to go off before you can mat the gas

I tried RC1 (several attempts) and I have the rev stuttering at around 3000rpm. The car is undrivable.
The Coolant Based Rev Limit is set up high enough to 8000rpm but I still have that stuttering no matter what the temp is. The TPS is set to 80%.
Moving back to beta21 solves the problem but I'm just curious what possible mistakes that I did which produce that stuttering.

Only me have that problem?

Datalog? MSQ? Does turning off the revlimiter altogether fix it for you?

Gokart,
please post your MSQ and describe your setup so we can test it on the bench.

Rats, how do I delete stuff I've attached, IM apaprently past my upload quota! I'm running a 60-2, wasted spark 6 cyl. Spark cut rev limit...
edit:// I had fiddled with the VR sensor prior (I moved it closer), so I initially thought i had done it, so I didn't do any further testing! And for that matter, something very odd was happening in the electrical system--the MT tach would immediately drop to zero at the 3000RPM wall and my paddle shifter box would shift into first--its not connected to MS, but it would do this if something was messing with the main power and dropping it low. I initially thought my VR sensor was just putting out huge voltage spikes. I'll do furhter testing...

There was a small change in this RC to fix some daihatsu issues, which may be affecting spark for the rest. If the MT tach is dropping to 0, I'd suspect that.
Otherwise it could be the CLT-based revlimiter, although that's doubtful.
We'll get to the bottom of it soon, no later than tomorrow.
Also, the poi, I don't see a datalog, only an msq.
