You could check the CAS with a volt meter while turning the engine with a wrench or breaker bar.

No, there's no special code in the MS1 to decode that wheel.

If you could arrange a single tooth cam trigger, the "dumb" MS1 code could work ok with the crank wheel.

But the existing pattern - no.

Anyone got the angles yet? Post NOW and this pattern can be in the next JimStim code release.

Looks like this is the wheel pattern - but no angles = no code.

That's definitely not a 2000 4.0 trigger wheel pattern. I think that first appeared in the 2002 Jeep Liberty with the 3.7 V6 and may not have lasted for very long before the NGC wheels appeared.

I'm going to see if I can get the numbers off a FSM drawing by measuring it with a ruler. I was trying to avoid this as I'm not sure how accurate they are, but here goes.

Crank sensor rising edge, starting at zero degrees: 98 104 110 116 - 218 224 230 236 - 338 344 350 356
Cam sensor: A 180 degree ring (360 crank degrees). Not sure exactly where it syncs up, and it looks as if the sensor could be rotated 360 degrees in its housing while adjusting it.

Looks more like 20 degrees between the main crank slots not 6 ?

That's why I was trying to avoid measuring the FSM drawing; I didn't trust it. I know the 116, 236, and 356 degree triggers are accurate as the FSM wrote out that each group is 120 degrees apart and the 356 degree position. If they're 20 degrees apart, which looks reasonable from the flywhee, it would work out to this:

56 76 96 116 - 176 196 216 236 - 296 316 336 356

Looking back at the pictures, these values look a lot more reasonable.

It would be great if someone could get this set-up to work with MS, keep up the good work! I'm planning to buy a 4.0 XJ in about 6 months and was wanting to put MS on it and this would simplify it 8)

Hi friends. i have the answer.
the weel have 1080 milimeters of circunference
350 milimeters of diameter
175 milimeters of ratio
60 milimeters between the notchs. so we can put 18 segments of 20 degre each
so we have 20 degre

It was too late in the 2.1.0 release cycle to add this wheel.
