MS2/extra alpha 3.3.0a (2012/02/05)
Changes since 3.2:
- Incorporated gslender's backports of ms3 idle features. Some are direct backports and some are re-implementations where necessary given ms2's limited resources
- Changed 100 to 100L to prevent EgoLimit multiplication overflow
- Make rotary trailing work with 36-2-2-2 wheel
The firmware can be found here:

Megasquirt is not for use on pollution controlled vehicles. Any advice I give is for off road use only.
Re: MS2/extra alpha 3.3.0a (2012/02/05)
Thanks Ken! Was anything changed in the smoothing/filtering of the inputs (map,RPM,tps, etc)?

That has not yet been backported from MS3. It will at some point be backported.

Re: MS2/extra alpha 3.3.0a (2012/02/05)
Kudos!
6/1 wheel sequential, Bosch CIS air valve ONLY for start/warmup fast idle .
The new idle control ROCKS for me, as I only use timing control for active idle stabilization.
I used to use the transition from cold idle+table timing to idle control as an audio cue I was warmed up as it started hunting up/down when it hit setpoint. (was still +/- ~75 RPM, better when warmed up)
Now idle speed and recovery is smooth and rock steady.
All I had to do was turn it back on and set it to adaptive, and it works ~like a PID closed loop idle speed control, without having to jack with it. (have not had a chance to play with it properly)
I was planning on finally getting around to installing an idle air valve, but now I may use fidle for something else.
No issues noted, ~150 miles so far on this code.

No fault found.
I've tested 6cyl w/s, 8cyl w/s and 4cyl with rotary enabled.
I did find a mistake in your MSQ though - you have spark output set to "normal" when it should be set to "inverted"

Having the dwell set upside down will smoke non self-protecting coils, as will shorted tab> insulators>case on the drivers.chango de naranjito wrote:Oh,I did that to see if had any change but the only change was me burning the coils, please post the wiring you use maybe was me wiring it wrong, thanks!!jsmcortina wrote:No fault found.

The module spkC and spkD will need pullups to 5V yes.
Perhaps it would help if you posted a full description of what problems you are having. All I've gather so far is "it doesn't work" but I have no idea what test situation you are using, wiring or anything.

I looked in the changelog but it must not be updated yet. What new idle control is in this version? Will it work for fuel only applications?piledriver wrote:The new idle control ROCKS for me.

I'm currently using the ignition control, it twiddles the ignition timing for idle stability.tomeric914 wrote:I looked in the changelog but it must not be updated yet. I'm using glsenders variant currently, can't recall if the idle timing mod was now in mainline.
