You say beta17 works. How about beta18, beta19, rc1, rc2, rc3 ?

Divide and conquer. Try halfway, then halfway before or after etc.
In this case, there aren't many release, so start with RC2.
If it works, then try later ones, if not try earlier.

Was this a firmware issue bug/ and if so did it affect anything beyond this specific spark/wheel mode?

Re: Tacho jump and *bak* sound from intake after 3.3.2 beta2
James I'd like to report that there's a very dramatic power-loss on this firmware, I can't think of any but the "hiccup" behaviour we are experiencing on 4 vanes setup like 4G63T, if I can get myself or anybody a hold on to an oscilloscope I would like to capture in realtime the output pulses from ignition and fuel injection from MS2 so we can get a clear behaviour of what's really going on, what the composite logger fails to do so.

Post in one topic.
The "scatter gun" approach does not help.
As mentioned before, without any data (i.e. datalogs) this report gives us no chance to investigate, let alone "fix" any apparent issue you are seeing.

Re: Tacho jump and *bak* sound from intake after 3.3.2 beta2
In the beta5 topic, there was a clearer report of the behaviour and MSQs posted. This has led me to discover a bug in the AC idleup output code. That should be fixed and I'm about to post beta6.
