3.3.2 AC suggestion

Post by EMark1 »

Hello guys,

My question is pointed especially toward James.

I like very much the new things in AC menu, but is it possible to add two more rows?

In the stock controlers there is a functionality to turn off the compressor in some occasions, like full throttle or over particular rpms.

I implemented such a function in my car using the additional "programmable on\off outputs".

I'm applying two screenshots.

Could you merge these conditions with AC menu?

Regards
Emil

James, why don't you add these two options in AC menu? The possibility of turning off the AC compressor above certain rpm or map. This is a big problem for the cars which are used in countries with hot climate. I have to choose between those two options in the menu (AC and programmable on/off) , if I choose both probably I'll have some problems due to a conflict, because the port is the same in both cases.

I'm busy working on plenty of other things that I consider to be higher priority.

Guys you might wanna check up on "idle up delay" it's not doing what's intended to do, from what I've observed it delays idle valve opening rather than AC clutch activation, I'm doing "closed-loop" idle on release 3.3.2

I tested this on the bench and it works for me. Your datalog is short and doesn't necessarily capture what is going on as you keep pressing the button on and off in quick succession.

Look at the attached log. I grounded the input at 9992.766 and immediately the stepper position increased.

alright, let me ask how does "closed-loop" behaves during idle-up valve actuation? does it wait for it to finished the valve opening?
