question from the MS2/Extra todo list 01/24/2013?

Post by slow_hemi6 »

I saw back in the old to do list that on the fly changing of No of Squirts and Alt/Sim were listed. Did that happen at all?
The reason I am asking is that I am sure that this would be a step very close to one of my long time wishes. I run a 1000cfm throttle body on my car with staged injection. I have for a long time run 4 squirts but I have also tried 8 squirts and the idle quality is amazing at 8 squirts however I just run out of DC when the engine is under maximum load and nearing redline.
If the firmware could change from 8 squirts at idle or idle and primary but change to 4 squirts when staged I would have the perfect combination. I guess it would largely hang on whether that on the fly changing was possible.
Just putting it out there because the fuel distribution is fantastic at 8 squirts but it wastes a lot of time due to the dead time increases.

Due to the issue I am having with the latest beta and my serial coms (this question asked elsewhere) I can't really check this for myself either. My 3.3.1 install definitely still needs a burn&stumble event to effectively change no. squirts. Not a power cycle required situation but not exactly on the fly changing like fuel and ign timing either. If the change is always going to be that slow and clunky then I guess there is no need to pursue the idea of No. squirts changing at injector staging. Just looking for some feedback here.
