8+1 trigger wheel?

Is there any way to measure crank position from an 8+1 trigger wheel? The engine is a single cylinder RCV 35cc engine, 4 stroke. Sure I suppose I can cut off the extra tooth and an other to make a 8-1 but that's not an option right now.

Is there a doc somewhere that shows all the preloaded trigger wheels and their tooth pattern? I think that would be very helpful as there may already be a 8+1 to pick from.

In toothed wheel mode you can define any type of wheel you want, just set number of teeth, second trigger for the single tooth, etc. You have to come up with the right combination of active high or low settings. Mine is 4 + 1 on cam.

Read the manual, it is all cleared up there.

If you mean there are 9 teeth on the crank with 8 of them equally spaced, this is not currently supported.

Yes, Matt your right. 8 even spaced with an extra tooth tossed in there.

Ill have to see if i can get those for you james. For testing i ended up cutting off the extra tooth and one other for an 8-1.
