Why will the MS2 never support TFI Sig PIP?
MS3X v3 w/Ford IAC mod running MS3 1.41
Sig PIP TFI trigger with direct coil control, 60# highZ injectors
91 Ford Mustang, modified 5.0, 70mm turbo @ 11#s

There are no plans to add new features to MS2.

Because it will not be able to use this for most of the applications we would expect somebody to use it for. The most common engine in the MegaSquirt market that uses signature PIP is the 5.0 V8; the 2.3 Turbo, Taurus SHO, Thunderbird Super Coupe, and most of the other Ford engines from the '80s that we get asked about don't use signature PIP distributors. There just plain aren't enough hardware timers for sequential injection on a V8. And using signature PIP to support a distributorless ignition proved rather iffy on MS3; the results were dropped from the current release due to a lot of failures.
