MSPNP2 Foxbody Help
Hello everyone,
I recently completed my engine build and am having some trouble with my megasquirt. I can get the engine to run and idle but I cannot get the timing on the crank to match what the mega is commanding. When I try to advance the distributor to get my timing marks set the engine revs way up to like 3000 rpms. Can anyone help??

You'll want to adjust the distributor so that you can get the timing in TunerStudio to match your real timing with a trigger angle between 0 and 15. Larger trigger angles will create advance problems.

I have the fixed timing in my Mega at 12 degrees. Trigger angle of 10. When I crank the dizzy to match the 12 degrees fixed from the mega it still idles around 1700.

In that case, I'll need more information:

Here it is. Basically just the base map for my car with the few timing tweaks.

I will also need the data log of it revving to 3000 RPM.

Just started it and let it run a few minutes. This is what I got.

Re: MSPNP2 Foxbody Help
Try reducing the PWM Idle Duty at those temperatures.
Also, once you have the timing confirmed with a timing light, turn off the Fixed Angle setting; that's mostly for checking your timing.
