Hi, My name is Rick, I have messed around with MS2 before, and couldn't ever get it to run off a subaru 6/7 trigger. Gave up on that project for other reasons, have a new project and thought I would give the new MS3 pro a shot.
My project is going to be running a JDM subaru EJ20 with dual AVCS and a twin scroll turbo (36-2-2-2)
I am looking for some pointers on wiring up the AVCS (VVT) as far as even baseline settings and such.
If anyone has used MS3 Pro on a subaru with AVCS I would love to see how you wired it up and what your VVT settings are at!
Rick

Welcome. The main thing is to set the spark mode for Subaru 36-2-2-2 VVT; that already sets up the crank and cam decoders.

Cool, thanks Matt!
I wish there were was a sample vvt wiring diagram in the mega manual! I have the factory wiring diagrams for the subaru, but translating that into ms3 is a little challenging. I've wired a lot of engines before factory ecu wiring, but I've not dealt with the vvt stuff before. I have a rough concept of how to wire the vvt, but I want to be sure. Maybe I should have gone haltech or hydra set up for subaru vvt....

You just run one end of the solenoid to 12V switched power and the other end to an unused PWM output on the MS3-Pro.
