I'm adapting a set of GSXR750 TB's to fit on my Vauxhall (GM) 20XE engine (4 cylinder 2.0L 16v with sequential port injection). Stock power is 155bhp, and the stock injectors are Bosch part 0-280-150-744 rated at 214.4cc/min (20.4 lb/hour).
Now, by my reckoning these injectors already seem to be pretty marginal in terms of flow for stock power, certainly I'm not convinced they would deliver 155bhp with 85% duration.
However, a respected Vauxhall tuning company in the UK (SBD) offer a throttle body conversion which gives up to 208bhp, and uses the stock injectors! I guess they run a higher fuel pressure (stock 36.25psi), but it would have to be a considerable hike to get any saftey margin.
I'm hoping to get ~170-180bhp, and I'm wondering if I can either keep the stock injectors, or use the GSRX750 ones which according to a thread on here are rated at 240cc/min, or wether I should err on the side of caution and get larger injectors?
Injector size confusion

Why not use what you have until you KNOW they are not big enough....
I'm using itb's and injectors from a Honda CBR954 on my Dolomite Sprint. I am currently making around 150-160hp at only 50% DC...

Ok, thanks, that sounds like a great project. Out of interest, what kind of fuel pressure are you running?rickmilesracing wrote:Why not use what you have until you KNOW they are not big enough....
