initial timing question

Post by brownquirt »

K, i'm running MSII V3 board with MT2.25

My stock hall sensor is set at 30 degrees BTDC, the stock cdi box retards the timing to 10degrees BTDC while cranking and idle.

My question is if I tell megatune that the trigger is 30 degrees advanced and setup my ignition table for 10 degrees advanced during starting, is it going to be 10 dgrees or 40 degrees?

Use the Trigger Angle to tell MS that the sensor is at 30º when at TDC so the map is relative to 0º/TDC. Since you need to place the sensor at least 5 to 10º ahead of max anticipated advance fro MS to have thinking time, it may only work correctly on Next Cylinder mode, so be sure your distributor or coilpack is phased to fire the right plug. :? I hope I understand your question correctly...
