Need help with Trigger settings for 12-1 Generic Wheel

Post by valvecovergasket »

Im attempting to set up MSnS -e with a v3 ecu on a Honda CBR 600 running wasted spark, and a 12-1 wheel. After reading through the megasquirt and spark page on how to set all of this up I have a few questions.
First, I dont completely understand how to internally jumper the ecu to run two coils, the diagrams are kind of confusing (it refers to a IgbtIn Jump?), and I also dont see where the the second coil driver would come out of the DB37 wire.
Also, the other main thing that confuses me is how to set the Trigger positions, and Trigger position returns....since im driving 2 coils would this just be
Trig pos A 1
Trig return pos A 6
Trig pos B 7
Trig return pos B 12?
The wheel base teeth is obviously 12, what do i set the 2nd Trigger dropdown menu to?

Any guidance with this would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Look on your board and you'll see a hole labelled IGBTIN.

The second output goes whereever you choose. Many run a wire straight onto the pin of SPARE1 for example.

The settings depend on where you put the wheel. I added some more text to the wheeldecoder page last night, see if this helps any.

ive read through the trim setting for the triggers on the wheel, but they seem to talk about the 4 cylinder thats triggered by a cam angle sensor.
we have a 12 - 1 wheel on the crank of a 4 cylinder with two coils, and i still dont think i understand what degrees to set the triggers to

is it like this?
Trig pos A 1
Trig return pos A 6
Trig pos B 7
Trig return pos B 12?

Which tooth is on the sensor when cylinder 1 is at TDC ?

Tooth 12 can't be a trigger because there is no tooth. So you have to take tooth 10 and then a trigger angle with 60 deg since one tooth is 30 deg on this wheel. Only time based trigger would work.
