VR sensor question, will this work?

can i tap off of the current vr sensor to share the signal with another module or something? i would like to use two GM dis modules on the cavalier engine im running, one for spark control, one to make the tach work. the car had an up-integrated module and we now have no tach. is this possible?

yes you can. i did that with my 2.2 sunfire.

doesn't the gm module you have on there have a tach out signal?

it does, but it wont work if i dont have a standard tach. the cluster has a serial connection between the ECU and the cluster so i cant tap a tach signal in there anywhere. so ill just run the later module with no coil control so it has a tach signal.
