hi there,
im using MSII V3, code v2.34, megatune 2.25.
yesterday i finished wiring up my megasquirt. my car did not fire up at all, so this was either due to timing or ignition. after checking the output from the coil, there was a spark.
today i have checked the injectors - they are working, but after re-checking the coil, there is no spark anymore - i have narrowed this down, and pin36 is permanenlty negative. i am using the VB921 coil driver, and it looks like it has blown. would this cause pin36 to be permanelty grounded?
i had my settings as coil going low (normal), but i now think i should have had it set to going high (inverted)?? would having this wrong caused the vb921 to blow? and if so, why was the spark working yesterday with the incorrect setting?
please help me asap!!
many thanks
scott

Re: spark problems , VB921 blown
With the incorrect setting your coil will be on excessively causing overheating of the VB921, it should still spark, but will do so at the wrong time.scottymk2 wrote: i had my settings as coil going low (normal), but i now think i should have had it set to going high (inverted)?? would having this wrong caused the vb921 to blow? and if so, why was the spark working yesterday with the incorrect setting?
