Tach signal 1 cyl. 2 strok Vespa engine, setting MT to 1 cyl

Post by endicott »

Tuned my car with MS and now my old Vespa GL from 1961 is the next victim.
Found a tach signal on the bloody 2 stroke, but it shows between 3000 and 4000 rpm during idle. And a slight rev shows even more!
I've set it MT up to 1 cyl. under "Settings-Injector Control-Number of Cylinders". But is that enough? Can't find any other place to edit the cylinder count!

Found the source to my problem to be MegaTune. It can't run in two stroke mode, runs it as if it were four stroke! counts one tach signal as a ½ crank turn. NO good when it's two stroke; one tach signal one crank turn!
