Delayed Tach Signal While Cranking

Post by Mopar500CID »

I am running MSII and V3 board triggering off of the coil negative. I am not using any timing or ignition driver options. I am using a Petronix II connected directly to the coil. I have configured the V3 board per the coil negative triggering instructions. When cranking it takes approximately 2 seconds for the MS to see the tach signal causing excessive cranking. Once the tach signal is seen the engine fires up nicely. I have datalogged the cranking and running tach signals and see no spikes. I actually have spark immediately upon cranking the engine. I have moved the ignition settings but still have a delay during cranking. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

Lance,

Here are a couple of data logs during crank and start.
