Translating Stock Tables into 12x12 table

Post by Hjulen »

I am using v3 Board and MSnS with EDIS as my ignition.

My question is I have the below graphs that are stock for my engine but am a little confused on how to convert them in 12x12 table....can anyone help me translate? I want to start tuning from this stock setup.

Thanks,
James

This is good information .

Have you made any other modifications to your engine ?
BE VERY SPECIFIC on any modifications .

Starting from Factory Specs. is a good idea ,
but engine modifications will change the ideal timing curve .

Also , send a detailed description of your engine and car .

The Engine is a DOHC Fiat 4cyl 1995cc with 2 valves per cylinder.

Modifications to the motor include matching the manifolds to the head with light porting, compression increase form 8.1:1 to 9.8:1, Lightened crank pulley and flyweel, polished crank. Because of Megasquirt a restrictive Air flow meter was also removed and a more free flowing air filter installed.

I have already figured that because of the increase in compression the timing curve may have to be retarded slightly initially.

Thanks, for the help

Here is your Advance Table

Be carefull , 2 points more compression is substantial ,

The Table has already been compensated for the compression , but you must
still be very careful of Detonation .

It would be a good idea to put a quiet muffler on the car for tuning .

You should have a timing mark on your Harmonic Damper at 10 degrees and at TDC ,
when running the engine and observing your Advance Table ,
you should be able to see how many degrees the timing should be advanced ,
next , using a "Dial Back Timing Light" , you should adjust the Dial Back knob
until the marks line up on TDC , then read the timing number on the knob ,
it should read the same as the Hi-Lited Bin in your Advance Table .

Happy Tuning :D
