Cranking advance

Post by mops »

Hello Guys.

I'll keep it short and to the point.

I'm troubleshooting poor starting behaviour of my car (starts almost always, but it certainly doesnt sound healty). I datalogged a start and I see that spark durning cranking is 5 degrees BTDC. I believe somebody here said that durning cranking the spark should be AT TDC. Is that the case ?

I'm attaching quick screenshot and a log of my srarting, notice jerkiness once ve table takes over from priming pulse.

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Mops.

at 0 it will probably not start, mine will not. Try going the other way. 10 would be a good guess. Mine starts right up at 18.
