Ok. I have a KA24DE put of a 95 240sx. I figured out how to wire up the distributer but I have a couple of question. First Let me show you the little schematic I drew up.
The distributer has a internal coil so itnot shown as a separate component. leads to it are 7 and 8 and are marked (-) and (+).
I was told that if I went with a v2.2 board that I would need to use the GM HEI modual and if I went with a v3.0 that I could wire it without the modual. Is that correct?
It has an internal transistor to act with a resistor as a ballast and was told that that is what the GM HEI modual is for. Ok, what I'm trying to do is to have MS v2.2 work without the GM HEI, trying to use the existing transistor instead. Is there a way?
It would help if someone can try to explain how the GM HEI modual works. Or at least give me some links.
