106 gti/saxo vts 1.6 16v engine

Post by ianb »

hi, im new to the site and have just registered, a friend of mine has just got his escort running on bike throttlebodies, i listened to them tonite and its made my mind up!

The only stumble block i can think of at the moment is a map for the MS ecu... , my friend was lucky enought to find someone who gave him a map, how nice! was wondering if anyone has used MS and bike TB's on a 1.6 gti engine?

Many thanks, Ian

Don't worry about getting someone else's map. Most find it relatively easy to map their own engine.

I think the bigger part of your problem, will be integrating the MS with your modern engine management. I guess you will need to leave the existing ecu in place, so stuff like your dashboard and immobiliser continue to function.
