Please help me get this thing started!

This is a BMW M50 inline 6, setup for WASTED coil on plug, 24v 4v/cyl
MS-1 V3 MSnS-E 029Q2

Ok I hooked up fuel and loaded a VE generated map for that, car idles on fuel but the AFR floats between 11 - 13.5 or so because of Motronic ECU still controlling the idle valve (thats my thought anyway!).

I hooked up the spark harness just now, crossed my fingers and cranked. It cranks but has a little shutter and I heard a squeeal like the belt squeaking on the pullies. It didn't really sound like it was catching, maybe a LITTLE bit, but not really. So I cranked a couple more times and it turns but it just doesn't sound too nice. No grinding or anything but I may be getting a little kickback on the starter but I am not really sure what that sounds like.

I did the math and my coils dwell is about 2.7ms - I have cranking dwell set to 3.2ms and running set to 2.7ms. I tried again, belt squeal sorta noise and a little choke up on the cranking so I stopped and came on here.

I swapped harness back and the motor starts up fine with Motronic controlling spark and MS controlling fuel.

I am attaching my MSQ file. Maybe my spark map is just wrong, I am not sure! Can someone please guide me at this point? I REALLY want to get this baby going.

Starting to lose hope that Wasted Coil on Plug works... but I am not exactly a professional to make such assumptions.

One thing i will note, apparently my stock ECU has a "dwell map". It varies the dwell based on voltage and RPM. I calculated, with James confirmation, a 2.7ms dwell time, but my friend managed to extract a dwell map from an M3 (same basic car ignition wise) and found these numbers:

"the 14 volt row is as follows:
rpm 40 160 320 440 640 880 1040 2200 3520 4760 5760 7000
degrees 6 6.75 8.25 10.5 13.5 18 21 44.25 69.75 94.5 114 114

milliseconds 25 7.03125 4.296875 3.977272727 3.515625 3.409090909 3.365384615 3.352272727 3.302556818 3.308823529 3.298611111 2.714285714"

So at around idle, which is like 750 for me it shows the dwell at around 3.4 or so, but I am not sure I want to burn up my coil packs! Guidance PLEASE guys!

the small COP units should not require a lot of dweel, I'd suggest that 2.7 be the max, as thats what you've calculated Jon/James

Have you tried reducing that to 2.2 or so ( 20% ish down) to see if that improves the situation ?

No I haven't but the thing is, its not like it starts and dies or anything, its like I crank it and it makes noise like: "crank crank crank hickup squeeeeak"

I think sometime more complex is wrong?
