So, I'm trying to determine how to use the crank trigger on my 90 Volvo 740 wagon to run a single coil. I'd assume the basics include me building the decoder circuit and wiring that onto my MS board. Then I need to wire the unit into my car. I have a MS v2.2 and I'm just wondering how to wire it. I saw the wiring diagram for the v3 board, but how do I modify the v2.2 board to do the same thing? Are the outputs the same (and I just build a circuit to allow the use of the crank trigger)? Any details and guidance are much appreciated.
Is the spark output the same as it would be if I used a hall sensor in my distributor (output to my ignition unit which then runs the coil)?
Thanks
Eamon

With the v2.2 board you'll need the LM1815 circuit (on the wheel decoder page) for the input. On the output side you are correct that it is wired like any other single coil application.
