ignition control?

hey i'm goin to be hookin up a megasquirt system to a atv. i'll be running a throttle body off of a snowmobile. only question i have is do i have to make megasquirt control my ignition? my throttle bodies do have a tps on them if that makes any difference? if i do need to control the ignition can i still use megasquirt I or do i need to upgrade to II. i was hoping to get away with megasquirt I version 2.2.

You do not need to control ignition with either MS I or MS II - you just don't hook up the spark output wire.

i was under the impression that the tps works with the timing advance. as of right now the bike has electronic advance.

You can probably share the TPS signal.

If you have a working ignition system that you are happy with then you can leave it alone and use Megasquirt (1 or 2) for fuel control only.

ok good. lol. the current ingition is fine. i just wasn't sure what to do with my tps since it didn't have one to begine with.
