hey i'm goin to be hookin up a megasquirt system to a atv. i'll be running a throttle body off of a snowmobile. only question i have is do i have to make megasquirt control my ignition? my throttle bodies do have a tps on them if that makes any difference? if i do need to control the ignition can i still use megasquirt I or do i need to upgrade to II. i was hoping to get away with megasquirt I version 2.2.
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Re: ignition control?
You do not need to control ignition with either MS I or MS II - you just don't hook up the spark output wire.fasterblaster870 wrote:hey i'm goin to be hookin up a megasquirt system to a atv. i'll be running a throttle body off of a snowmobile. only question i have is do i have to make megasquirt control my ignition?

You can probably share the TPS signal.
If you have a working ignition system that you are happy with then you can leave it alone and use Megasquirt (1 or 2) for fuel control only.
