Yamaha R1 injectors?

Post by AstraRf »

Hi!

I am planing to use Yamaha R1 tb:s in my vauxhall c20xe race engine.
Engine produses about 220bhp, are those original R1 injectors ok?
I haven`t find any specs for those injectors. (tb:s are from -04 bike)

Many thanks
Ismo

Might be a bit small. The R1 produces well under 200bhp, doesn't it?

You may be able to push them, by increasing the fuel pressure, but then you'll need to check whether the injectors can open adequately at higher pressures.

You may want to start checking out injectors from a scrapped Subaru Imprezza, or something with that sort of power output.

Too small then most likely, unless Yamaha have used oversized injectors, which is unlikely IMHO.

See if you can get some injectors off of a Scooby, that should sort you out.

don't forget that due to the RPM issues, they have to oversize the injectors on a bike.

But I don't know how big the injectors are either. Run it and see what happens.
