Re: DIY Knock Indicator
It looks like the same basic circuit as the one on the MSnS_Extra website. The parts are pretty inexpensive.Jon k wrote:Someone should prepare a purchase list for DigiKey or something... But I started to add this up... its over $100 in parts!

Version 2 of Error*'s MSnS_Extra daughter board includes the knock detector circuit.

That link shows that this is experimental. Who's been trying it out? And, what have the results been like?Glen Hoag wrote: It looks like the same basic circuit as the one on the MSnS_Extra website. The parts are pretty inexpensive.

Re: DIY Knock Indicator
I am currently talking to Boris about his unit for only $65 - he says his is known working and also comes with the cable etc.
Phil & James's circuit on the Extra site seems to work fine. I have one version that's been running OK in a car for over a year, and finished another last night that works on a completetly different engine (250 single). With the circuit being available on Error*'s daughter board, I can't see any reason not to try it. I'll be going that route on future builds.
