Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out if I can run v2.2 with the stock VW crank sensor/trigger wheel(built into crank). its a 60-2 wheel, and a VR sensor.
I know EDIS uses a VR sensor, but it interfaces with the EDIS module before going to MS.
Is there any way I could get this to work? Has anyone done it?
Also, I woudl like to use Coil On Plug for my application. The coils already have an ignitor built into each individual coil.
Pinout is as follows:
Pin 1: Common coil power supply B+ from ECU power supply relay.
Pin 2: Ground, coil primary power output stage.
Pin 3: Coil power output stage, from ECU coil drive.
Pin 4: Ground, Coil secondary output stage.
Each coil has these 4 pins. so 2 and 4 are grounds. 1 is a constant power, and 3 is the "switched" power that controls the coils... where would I get this 12v trigger signal from?
Thanks guys. All this MS stuff is overwhelming, and i've been slowly taking it in for 4+ months.
Just for fun ;)
60-2 VR sensor on v2.2? COP also.

Forget EDIS - it does not work with a 60-2. It can ONLY be used with a 36-1.
If you have MS1 on that v2.2 board then see this:
http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra ... wheel.html
Using the v2.2 board makes life harder because there is no VR sense circuit built in so you have to make one. (The v3.0 board has this already.)
You need to find out what signal and voltage is expected on pin 3. If those are ignitors and coils then it may be a 5v signal and you can use something like the "alternative output config" 2/3 way down the Neon page setup.http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/setup-neon.html

Buy a v3.0 instead?haenszel wrote:its expecting a 5v If I remember.... but people use 12v and its worked fine for them.
I'm not too good with small electronics... anyone willing to help me out with the VR circuit? :)
