Converting Stock Ignition Map

Post by bluetrepidation »

Ok so what is what here? To me the 13 inHg column would be the "idle" portion of the map and 1 inHg would be more toward ambient air pressure. But when you convert 13 inHg to kPa you get 44kPa? Am I missing something? Is it because this is inHg vacuum?

Yes, the vacuum is the inverse of the map reading in kpa. So 0 inHg vacuum would be atmospheric pressure wherever you. I believe you would just subtact the inHg converted to kap from atmospheric to get what the map would read.
