DIS wiring

Post by 02z24sc »

This something that is new to me. I have tried to follow the wiring diagram for which wires to connect to. I am running a 2.4L twin cam engine and I am not sure which wires I need to slice into? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I'm sorry, I am running a Cavalier z24 with the 2.4L twin cam engine. I have a 5 speed manuel and running the GM DIS IDI system. It is still a waste spark system, but there is no plug wires.

You'll have to find someone with the same car in order to answer these sorts of questions.

This is the fun of a DIY project, you've got to study the manual and figure out these sorts of things on your own.

My main question was do I run my ignition control wire from the tach signal and run it to my ignition control wire a (I have a b also). This setup is the same for any GM vehicle using a DIS system.
